Harvey Close: Neighbours can drive past to complain about contractors vehicles parked kerbside at Harvey close. Others use our dustbin to throw their things, including large palm fronds. And the road sweeper refuses to sweep up the leaves dropped from our palms and mango tree onto the kerb path along our fence. Nonsensical place. A lot to deal with. Welcome to Singapore.
Harvey Close nang: ler ai wa pak lu, lai lai, wa kah lu pak hor hor, ler em chai see ! Pui !!
She: your tree has many berries and the birds drop them onto my porch and clog my drainpipe. Me: *speechless* hello, even if I chop down my tree, the birds will find berries elsewhere.
She: your car is parked along the road and it obstructs the garbage collectors from clearing my dustbin. Me: move your bluddy dustbin.
Everybody sing along now: welcome to Singapore ! All these small-minded nit-picking neighbours for you to enjoy ! Healthiest, wealthiest country in the world !
